“Flaming enthusiasm, backed up by horse sense and persistence, is the quality that most frequently makes for success.”
Dale Carnegie

Neurologists have proven that when you do something with enthusiasm,  it takes approximately one-tenth the effort that it takes to do ordinary things. Think about that in relation to your work and life.

One-tenth the effort?

Sounds good to me. And have you ever noticed that it’s the ones  with the most enthusiasm who also have the most energy for living  in general?

One key observation I’ve made on people who can maintain  real enthusiasm with their work, despite the inevitable setbacks,
is that they have established a crystal clear link between  meaningful personal goals and their work. The key phrase being ‘meaningful’.

When you take the time to:

1. Really think about what you want to create in your life and why

and then

2. Build a bridge to how your work can aid that…

the energy kicks in.  And that energy and enthusiasm ripples into everything. And when it’s not there, the same ripples happen in reverse. So maybe it’s worth giving some extra attention this week  to the above 2 points?

If you do, everyone will win.
