“Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes
but when you look back everything is different…”
C.S. Lewis – 1898-1963 – Writer
Someone told me recently that the word January originated from the word Janus – the Roman god of beginnings and endings. An appropriate description for the first month of a New Year.
I’m not a huge fan of new year’s resolutions but I do like what the New year Stands for.
For me it’s a time to:
– Turn a new leaf
– Create positive change
– Leave behind the past
– Start afresh
Beginnings and endings…
I see the New Year like completing a lap in a race and I have a choice for the next lap.
The choice is really to do with how I answer this question:
How will I spend my time this year?
And within that, what and who matters most?
Most people will start with good intentions about change but we all know about intentions and the road to hell.
Yet I’m always amazed by how small changes made daily, over time compound into serious transformation.
Keeping it simple…
A year from now, what’s the number 1 thing you’d like to be celebrating?
Lock on and start today.
This time next year everything can be different. (Even if you’re Rodney from ‘Only Fools And Horses’… 🙂 )
