Here’s some fun words from a famous cartoon character:

– Homer Simpson

Ironically, even though we may all laugh at this, the reality for many people is not far from his words.  Many won’t even take the first step in a new direction because they’re afraid of ‘failure’.
This time of the year is a great time to:
– Start new things
– Create new visions for the future
– Get into shape (finally)
– Meet new people
– Expand your life
– Make the changes in your business you’ve been putting off
– Try a new direction
– Learn how to get more from your time
– Watch less TV and learn a new hobby or read more

But many will have ‘thoughts’ that never convert to action. That TV one in particular always amazes me.( in terms of how much life it can steal from you…)  Even Homer knows… “I want to shake off the dust of this one-horse town. I want to explore the world. I want to watch TV in a different time zone. I want to visit strange, exotic malls…I want to live, Marge! Won’t you let me live?”

I knew a very successful business man who confided in me once that he always wanted to learn the guitar and that as soon as he retired, he’d start. He died 12 months after retiring.   Never got to learn the guitar.

A real pity.

Whatever it is for you, start it.  Don’t mind what Homer says…
