“We must constantly look at things in a different way. Just when you think you know something, you must look at it in a different way. Even though it may seem silly or wrong, you must try. Dare to strike out and find new ground.”
– Dead Poets’ Society (The Movie)
A really wonderful movie, Dead Poets’ Society is very inspiring and has many wonderful words.
The above quote is a reminder to constantly challenge the way we look at things. As human beings, we can easily fall into the trap of ‘solid thinking’ i.e. our view point is not flexible, and it doesn’t match the current environment for best results.

Some questions to consider, in that spirit:
– What if my opinion on X (person, project, problem) is wrong? (even though i’m adamant I’m right…)
– What if 50% of our revenue has to come from new sources in 3 years time?
– What if the thing I’m ‘hoping’ might be the future, really is? (I just need to give it more time and attention…)
Food for thought…
