Where You’re Coming From VS Where You’re Going To..

“Where you’re coming from,

is much more important than where you’re going to.”

I said the above to a client and she looked at me like I had 10 heads.

As someone who has a reputation for helping people to get to where they want to go faster, this was understandably confusing to this smart but very stressed woman.

I went on to explain that I’ve seen people win awards, make millions, create the body shape they love, grow and sell businesses, but it was usually tainted with where they were coming from.

For example, if you fear having no money, that feeling can still be with you even though you have millions in the bank. If you’re coming from a place of fear or lack, it massively effects how you are, how you feel, how you think and what you do or don’t do.

This woman was concerned that her business would fail like the previous one she owned.

An understandable fear on one level, but it was rippling into everything she did and as we explored her situation, it became very clear that it wasn’t logical – it was very emotional.

As a result, she was frozen in a state of paralysis, not realising that her thinking at the back of her mind, was dictating her every action – you could call it self-sabotage.

It’s a bit like someone trying to sell from a state of desperation. – People pick up on it and it repels them. (If only I’d known this when I was back in my dating days….:)

So this week, consider this:

Where are you coming from?

And are you open to looking?

When you clear up where you’re coming from, where you’re going to becomes much more apparent.
