“Courage doesn’t always roar.
Sometimes courage is the little
voice at the end of the day that says…
‘I’ll try again tomorrow’.”
– Mary Anne Radmacher
I remember someone telling me that ‘the loudest clock isn’t always the one that works best’. It’s similar but different to the sentiment of the quote above.
There’s something I’ve always admired about quiet persistence in people. It’s not always the grand acts of bravery that define courage. Often, courage is the quiet determination that whispers to us in our most vulnerable moments.
In a world that celebrates instant success and constant achievement, it’s easy to forget the magic of small, consistent efforts. The courage to acknowledge that you might not have conquered today’s challenges, but you’re not giving up. Instead, you’re choosing to rest, recharge, and face tomorrow with renewed determination.
We all have those days when life feels heavy, and even the simplest tasks seem like a battle. But in those moments, remember the power that lies in your voice saying, ‘I’ll try again tomorrow.’ It’s a voice that embodies resilience, optimism and an unbreakable spirit.
Progress is a journey, and every small step counts.
Maybe today is a day to listen to that ‘little voice’ within? Or if not you, maybe today is a day to encourage it in someone close to you?
Best,
Shane
