Last week, I was fortunate to get away with TLJ* for a few days to Seville in Spain and remember what the sun looked and felt like!
Winter mornings and evenings can be dark in Ireland and it can sometimes feel like you’re in a ‘night dome’.
But it’s noticeable that mornings are brighter earlier now. As I write this early on Monday morning, I’m looking out over a calm Irish sea with the sun rising on it’s daily journey.
Light makes a difference. It breathes life into everything.
In today’s world, it’s easy to get caught up in external pressures—expectations, setbacks, challenges and distractions. That pressure can become choking.
It’s important to remember that real power comes from within. That there is a steady inner light inside, even when life feels overwhelming.
When things aren’t going exactly our way, it’s tempting to believe that our energy, our confidence, our sense of self is dimmed.
But the truth is, the light inside never goes out—
it just gets temporarily covered by layers of doubt, stress, and overthinking.
The key is not to search for light elsewhere, but to reconnect with what is already inside you. To relax away from problematic thinking.
Think about the times when you’ve faced challenges and still found a way forward. The strength that got you through didn’t come from outside—it came from within. The same light that guided you then is still present now.
This week consider this:
What would it look like to trust that your inner light is still shining,
no matter what’s happening around you?
