“Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart.

Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”

– Carl Jung

‘What will make this year a great one?’

I’ve asked myself this question often and for a long time I was focused solely on the achievement side of things.

More money. More clients. Key projects. Key results.

Maybe it’s an age thing but now my starting point for an answers is around how I am – my state of being, my clarity of mind, my health, my energy, my levels of purpose, my peace of mind.

That is my primary focus because I realised that a better me handles everything better – especially when life throws something challenging at me. And usually results, in any context, will look after themselves when I’m the better me. 🙂

I still look at the achievement side of things but I’ve learned to be flexible with goals. In particular to leave space for the unexpected opportunities that will inevitably emerge. In many ways, life is what happens when you’re making other plans. Having said that I have a priceless capacity to shape the emerging future.

What’s your answer to the above question? And importantly, why will that answers make this year a great one?

I wish you a very happy, healthy and propserous 2024. 🙂
